Anusha Joly is a Managing Director and Head of CLO Originations and Securitized Product (SPG) Syndicate at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), where she leads the CLO Primary platform in origination, structuring, and marketing, as well as the global syndication of securitized product transactions.
Prior to joining SMBC in December 2024, Anusha served as Global Head of CLO Syndicate at J.P. Morgan, where she played a central role in the firm’s market-leading CLO Primary franchise. In this capacity, she led the global marketing and distribution of U.S. and European broadly syndicated and private credit CLOs. Under her leadership, J.P. Morgan’s CLO Syndicate was recognized for best-in-class execution and performance, contributing directly to the platform’s ascent to top three league-table rankings for the last five consecutive years during her tenure.
Before J.P. Morgan, Anusha held a similar leadership role at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS/NatWest), where she syndicated a broad range of securitized products, including CLO, ABS, CMBS, and non-agency RMBS. She began her career at Citigroup in the Global Structured Products group, structuring and marketing CLOs in both New York and London.
Anusha graduated with University Honors from Carnegie Mellon University, earning a double major in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Economics, with a minor in Business Administration.
