Ilona specializes in representing banks and private credit lenders, financial institutions, and borrowers in connection with a wide range of financing transactions, including leveraged and investment-grade financings, acquisition financings, spinoffs, cross-border financings, debt restructurings, and other secured and unsecured financings. She also advises clients on capital solutions, helping to structure and optimize financing across the capital stack to address complex funding needs and strategic objectives.
Ilona is a client relationship partner for a major firm client. She serves as a partner advisor for WISER, an associate-led women's network, and is one of the co-heads of A&O Shearman Women in the U.S., which has won awards for affinity group impact in education and awareness-raising, as well as in mentoring and training.
Beyond her firm leadership, Ilona is a frequent expert contributor across the industry; she has co-authored pieces published by Chambers, Legal 500, ICLG, GLI Private Credit, and LexisNexis, and has spoken at conferences led by the LSTA, DealCatalyst, Debtwire and Strafford CLE.
