John is a Senior Vice President in Moody’s Ratings Global Project and Infrastructure Finance Team where he coordinates Moody’s global digital infrastructure research, outreach and analytical initiatives including private credit market engagement. John’s expert commentary has been featured on Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, DealBook and The New York Times. John speaks at multiple industry conferences, authors key research, and leads new rating assignments for complex project financings. John has been named a Smith's All-Star Municipal Analyst multiple times and a Bond Buyer Rising Star.
Before joining the project finance team in 2010, John was a lead analyst for local governments and enterprises in Moody’s Ratings Eastern Region Local Government Team rating municipal issuers in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Florida. John helped launch and was the first co-chair of Moody’s Multicultural Business Resource Group and was also a founding member of Moody’s PRIDE Business Resource Group.
Prior to joining Moody’s, John worked as a risk management analyst, a property and casualty insurance account manager, and a health care hospital claims auditor. John earned his BA from Stanford University and his MPA from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
