Overview

Our content rich conference covers the BSL market, private credit, geopolitical trends, sustainable lending, and more. It is a terrific event where industry leaders share their insights and perspectives that you cannot hear anywhere else. Topics to include:

Economic Outlook

Our Senior Economist will focus on the domestic economy and President Trump’s economic policies, including the impact of the President’s tariffs on the economy.  How will the tariffs impact American businesses? How will the trade war play out and impact Americans?  Will we be pushed into a recession? This and so much more will be covered.

European and US Loan Markets: Trends and Deal Terms

An overview of the key trends and deal terms of the BSL markets in the US and Europe over the past 12 – 18 months, with crystal ball predictions for the next 12.

Liability Management Transactions

A look at the latest trends in Liability Management Transactions (LMTs) and what we are likely to see in the second half of 2025, including a look at emerging lender protection strategies through credit agreement protections and coop agreements.

Keynote Address: Geopolitics and the Loan Market

David Chmiel will deliver a geo-political state of the world address in which he will discuss how the results of last year’s elections around the globe could impact the corporate loan markets.  The bigger risk now is how the ones who have been elected implement their policies.  He will analyse, amongst many other issues, the Trump tariffs, the disparate European views on defence spending, and whether Presidents Zelensky, Trump, and Putin can successfully negotiate an end to the Ukraine war.

CLOs: Headwinds and Tailwinds

How have the policy and economic uncertainties that emerged in the first quarter of 2025 impacted the outlook for CLOs? What opportunities and challenges do they pose for managers? This session will examine these questions and more as panelists discuss trends in CLOs developing in response to a dynamic macro and regulatory environment, an evolving investor base and structural innovations.

Private Credit Trends

The global private corporate credit market is booming – that is certain. But what is its true size? Estimates differ on the current size of global private corporate credit, but the past performance and continued growth trajectory is certain – as is increased scrutiny by the regulators both in the US and Europe. This session will focus on key headwinds and tailwinds for this important segment of corporate lending.
